TEXTILES I: Cotton & Linen

This class teaches the history, processing, identification,
grading, utilization and garment applications of
the related fibers - cotton & linen.
MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT: 10 students per section.

This class teaches the history, processing, identification, grading, utilization
and garment applications of leather and fur.

TEXTILES V: Lace
1 Saturday, 10:00-3:00PM
Duration: 1 day
Leads to an appreciation and understanding of the significance of lace. Representative
samples of lace from the 1500s through present day will be presented with
special emphasis given to their identification and construction. Students
are particularly encouraged to bring samples of lace for identification, analysis
and discussion. Instructor is a regionally-based, internatioanlly recognized
authority.

TEXTILES VI: Fabric ID and Applications
1 Saturday, 10:00-4:00PM
Duration: 1 day
This class teaches students to identify natural fibers by sight, touch and
test. Includes discussion of three basic weaves, two basic knits and felting.
Appropriate fabric-to-garment applications are presented.
Prerequisites: Textiles I, II, III
